The Opportunity

Ulteig's Associate Director, Consulting will create a business plan and service offering to solve complex client challenges, both strategic and operational in nature. The AD, Consulting will partner with account and technical managers to lead client executives through the process of translating ideas and solutions into tangible value for their businesses across our lifeline sectors of Power, Renewables, Transportation, and Water.

This role is a critical component to Ulteig's growth strategy, and will report to the Vice President of Strategic Growth. Our growth is driven by delivering real value and results for our clients. What You'll Do



  • Embrace and operate within Ulteig's core values
  • Work closely with stakeholders across business development, marketing, communications, project management, engineering/delivery, and finance and accounting to lead the development and execution of our consulting business strategy
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to identify and develop and launch new high value service offerings
  • Lead small teams of experts in a matrix structure through the strategic consulting process
  • Demonstrate thought leadership as expert in creating and delivering value as a strategy partner to clients across our LLS
  • Work directly with clients and internal team members to develop project scopes and establish project objectives to provide client with useful and actionable deliverables
  • Become the day-to-day face of Ulteig through building deep, effective working relationships with a wide array of clients in different industries.
  • This Associate Director role will serve as primary point of contact for client on initiating consulting engagements and hand over to delivery team.
  • Mentor and develop capabilities and skillsets of team members throughout the organization on consultative approach.



What We Expect from You



  • 8+ years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility including civil engineering, management consulting, or business development
  • 5+ years' experience in one or more of our lifeline sectors of Power, Renewables, Transportation, and Water
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university required; Master's degree in business, management, or engineering is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Proven creative ability to solve problems
  • Strong analytical skills along with excellent interpersonal, written, oral communications skills and executive presence
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills alongside excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work well with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to senior leadership
  • Proven track record of creating new business opportunities through proactive lead generation; spearheading new business pitches and selling across multiple-scopes and business lines.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
  • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $155,500 - $210,300
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
