About This Role
Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina seeks an experienced Assistant Chief Flight Instructor to join its growing team of aviation flight professionals! This position is responsible for FAR 141 training activities and following department policies and procedures. The Assistant Chief position may be delegated under FAR 141 rules by the Chief Flight Instructor for our flight school the ability to enroll students, terminate students, transfer students and graduate students in the program. In addition, the Assistant Chief Flight Instructor may be delegated the ability to conduct end of course final progress checks for pilot ratings. About Us Kansas State University Salina has an award-winning professional pilot program with a premium fleet of aircraft and flight training devices with a large, active regional airport only steps away from the classroom. Students train for certifications/ratings from solo through commercial on a variety of aircraft. Worksite Description This position is On-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location. Assistant Chief Flight Instructors typically work a morning or an evening shift.
