DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will be responsible for a wide-range of interior and exterior projects regarding the overall care and maintenance of the York Readiness Center. Specific duties will involve painting, carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and roof maintenance. You will be tasked with conducting a variety of repairs in addition to servicing the ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems. Within this role, you will also tend to grounds maintenance which will include snow, ice, and debris removal, as well as mowing, weeding, and other general landscaping. Additional assignments will include washing and waxing floors, cleaning walls and windows, trash removal, and lavatory maintenance. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours may change based upon operational needs.
- Travel may be required as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
