What You'll Do

Job title: Supervisor, Quality Assurance Engineering (Multiple openings)

Company: DJO, LLC (Lewisville, Texas)

Duties: Lead inspection and operations quality engineering teams for medical devices. Responsible for activities regarding the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance procedures and work instructions to ensure external safety, quality, and compliance with complex company standards and government regulations. Support incoming inspection department and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to reduce inspection burden while ensuring high product quality. Supervise inspection personnel and formulate strategy to increase efficiencies in Quality Control. Supervise QA engineers responsible for supplier inspection certifications and process capability studies. Author and execute supplier inspection certifications and validations. Conduct process capability PQs to reduce inspection. Analyze protocols and reports to ensure quality system requirements are met. Support Manufacturing and Operations to remedy adverse quality or compliance situations. 25% domestic and international travel required.

Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or related. Must have 2 years of experience with: Medical devices and ISO 13485 quality standards; Technical writing for quality assurance activities and best practices; Mechanical inspection and the associated inspection equipment; Manufacturing processes, including key focus on injection molding, metrology, machining, grinding, product cleaning and circuit board manufacturing; and Solidworks, Solidworks ePDM, Oracle R12, Agile PLM, and PC-DMIS.
