Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Georgetown, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage location, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible on site, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles, in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and access control activities as required by site policies.
• Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by answering questions and assisting with directions and inquiries related to access procedures.
• Support emergency response activities at the location as needed, including coordination with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
