Innovative Access Program and Partnerships Leader - (Fixed Term Contract)

The Opportunity:

The future incumbent will have the unique opportunity driving real impact. This is a global leadership position responsible for leading and driving our Innovative Access Program for Roche Diagnostics towards growth and impact through integrated commercial access strategies, innovation, and partnerships. Focusing on emerging markets and LMICs, you ensure a strong connection between policy, access initiatives and medical to induce an integrated and adaptive model. You will build and lead the global health network that focuses on co-creating and implementing innovative approaches that tangibly improve access of people and patients to our Diagnostics portfolio as well as collaborating with the Lifecycle Teams on bringing the right product portfolio. Along with global functions, regions and affiliates, you will build scalable solutions, critical engagements with national and supranational organizations complementary to our efforts in policy, shaping business contracting & pooled procurement activities and supporting the building and implementing of our innovative access program achieving Roche's ambition of doubling patient access. You connect the network to enhance learnings and foster collaboration and create case studies to show internally and externally the impact of the Innovative Access Program.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global health network to co-create and shape the LMIC Innovative Access Program, driving positive business impact and tailored product approaches.

  • Connect internal and external stakeholders to scale impactful solutions for patients and enable commercial growth across regions.

  • Build trusted partnerships with key global players and oversee the strategic direction and execution of donation programs (e.g., CDiC), supporting countries in implementation.

  • Identify commercial access opportunities across public, government, and private healthcare sectors.

  • Guide business planning for the Innovative Access Program and ensure delivery against objectives.

  • Identify strategic partnerships with NGOs and drive alternative funding strategies for emerging countries and LMICs.

  • Support internal/external communication and reporting, collaborate with Roche Pharma on LMIC strategy, and travel up to 30% as needed.

Who you are:

  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent with subject matter expertise in economics, science, public health etc. Advanced degree a plus

  • 10+ years professional experience in the diagnostics or pharmaceutical industry, especially in commercial or access in country and above-country roles combined with strategic thinking and strong business acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver in a matrixed cross-functional environment

  • Regional experience in one or more of the following regions: Africa & Middle East (AfME), South and South East Asia, Latin America is required

  • Fluent in written and verbal English and excellent communication skills, relationship building, networking and influencing skills.

Location: This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $142,800 - $265,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
