About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to play a pivotal role in integrating and optimizing cloud solutions. You will be the technical linchpin, providing expert support and guidance to various teams, ensuring that cloud deployments are not only successful but also strategically aligned with user needs and business objectives. Your impact will span from developing robust solution designs to troubleshooting complex technical challenges, all while staying ahead of technology trends and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. This position offers a unique chance to influence the adoption of advanced cloud technologies and drive significant value for a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of solution design capabilities and competencies to ensure successful deployment of cloud-based platforms.
- Provide essential technical support to internal and field teams, guiding the positioning and deployment of various solutions.
- Drive successful onboarding of clients to their cloud environments, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal utilization.
- Manage infrastructure and image customizations, adhering to best practices for cloud adoption.
- Engage with diverse business units throughout the sales cycle, offering technical advisory, conducting client presentations, workshops, deployment assessments, and contributing to technical proposals.
- Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex issues across web applications, backend services, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) deployments on leading public cloud platforms.
- Translate intricate technical issues and complex problems into clear, concise summaries for executive-level management.
- Continuously capture and disseminate knowledge on best practices, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
- Monitor technology trends to enhance cloud designs and deployments, sharing insights with solution and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in large-scale High-Performance Computing (HPC) enterprise environments, including thousands of servers, extensive storage solutions, and tape automation.
- Proficiency in the installation, configuration, and management of Linux-based operating systems, such as RHEL, CentOS, or Rocky Linux.
- Experience with distributed computing management software.
- Hands-on experience with the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, including servers, tape drives, robotic tape libraries, GPGPU, SSDs, and disk arrays.
- Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking and datacenter technologies, including switching, routing, high-availability, LAN/WAN/WLAN topologies, and system configuration for Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Fiber Channel SAN.
- Experience with HPC Storage Solutions from leading vendors.
- Ability to write and troubleshoot scripts using Bourne, Bash, C Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, and MRTG.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and database installation and support.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform and Azure public clouds, including provisioning and managing instances, building images, and writing installation scripts.
- Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with backup and recovery tools from leading vendors.
- Good knowledge of Linux security, including the configuration of endpoint security tools.
- Ability to evaluate HPC system environments and provide recommendations for performance and manageability improvements.
- Exceptional ability to investigate, debug, and diagnose system-level issues.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience, coupled with current industry-recognized training and certifications (e.g., from Cisco, RedHat, or Microsoft).

- Strong understanding of computer equipment care and maintenance.
- Collaborative spirit, working effectively with internal support groups, vendors, and remote teams.
- Ability to provide written weekly status reports and participate in team discussions.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours for system maintenance, provide 24/7 support, and participate in on-call schedules and emergency data center activities.
- Willingness to participate in peer reviews for major projects.
- Adherence to quality assurance, best practice procedures, and all relevant requirements.
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal direction, and a strong team player.
- Excellent written, phone, and face-to-face communication skills.
- Commitment to industry-standard systems administration techniques and procedures.
- Adept at documenting standard user and operational requirements.
- Willingness to train and mentor others.
