General Summary:
- Works under the direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Therapy Services Team Leader and/or the leadership of the Inpatient or Outpatient Manager.
- Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the physical limitations and medical condition of patients.
- Prescribes and implements a treatment program that is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function.
- Develops the patient care service to meet the standards of care .
- Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes.
- Promotes improvement in service, department, and hospital systems to benefit patient care - Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the Hospital at the site of care.
- Mentors others to promote quality and excellence of care - Coordinates patient care activities on the service
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited academic program.
- Licensure from Maryland State Board of Examiners. Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification. Two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist, 3 years preferred
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and document clinical data for decision-making, treatment planning, and program development.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload effectively.
- Ability to apply clinical knowledge and theory in practice to provide optimal patient care.
- Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to mentoring and guiding healthcare teams.
- Positive and proactive attitude in all professional relationships and daily activities.
- Prior experience in rehabilitation therapy, with demonstrated ability to coordinate patient care and lead team initiatives.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment is preferred.
Salary Range: Minimum 41.70/hour - Maximum 68.85/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
