Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Federal Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required for an armed post.
  • Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed, maintaining a helpful and approachable demeanor.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during critical events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide either a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
