Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills will enhance the experience for everyone onsite. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while documenting incidents and/or daily activities as required.
• Support Allied Universal management and supervisors in maintaining security-related standards and expectations at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
