As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the assigned shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. This role requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for patrolling the premises and responding promptly to situations as they arise. Your commitment to customer service and teamwork will help create a positive experience for everyone onsite.

*Must pass a Physical Fitness Exam prior to getting hired (1 mile run-12 minutes, 22 sit ups and 12 push ups)*

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location and its occupants.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist visitors, staff, and/or residents with inquiries and directions as appropriate to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with local authorities and Allied Universal management as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Document and log all incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts in accordance with company guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Must have at least 3 years of either Military, Law Enforcement or Armed security experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
