As a Security Officer - Access Control in South Hill, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As part of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in access control at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by assisting with access needs and answering questions related to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor surveillance systems and security-related equipment to identify potential issues.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist in emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
