SDL is seeking an experienced Technical Writer. This person will work alongside Program Managers and engineering personnel to develop contract deliverables and a variety of other documentation for software and hardware development, test, and delivery. This is a full-time position located onsite in North Logan, Utah. Qualified applicants must submit:

Technical Writer Responsibilities include:
  • Researching, writing, formatting, and editing contract deliverables, including reports, manuals, plans, presentations, and white papers
  • Attending program review meetings and customer meetings to capture action items and minutes
  • Assisting with tracking program requirements as needed, including software and hardware documentation output
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related field
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
  • Experience producing user manuals, test plans, procedures, technical and status reports, and other technical documentation
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • Experience using Adobe CS
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and document technical and engineering concepts
  • Ability to be proactive and work effectively with little direct supervision
  • Ability to work productively alone and in a team
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, set individual priorities, and remain flexible when priorities shift
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loop
  • Excellent written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SSBI
  • Experience working DoD programs
  • Proposal writing experience
  • At least 2 years of related experience
Salary Range
$46,000 - $65,500

This range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role, level, location, market conditions, and individual qualifications, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range displayed in the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries across all US locations.
