Role Specification
Spencer Stuart is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to join our global commercial organization to help develop, operate and scale our strategic coaching programs. This role will be responsible for providing operations management for our cross-cutting coaching offers and programs for clients. The role will help ensure Spencer Stuart delivers high-impact coaching support and client experiences as we serve board directors, CEOs and C-suite executives as well as commercial performance by enabling a high-performance ecosystem of coaching programs.
This individual will play a critical role in re-imagining and upgrading our coaching operations, delivering a more integrated coaching business, assessing and improving effectiveness of current efforts, and delivering strength across programs and clients. The ideal candidate will also help frame and manage a set of key operations initiatives that amplify our performance in the market.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish our process for vetting, accepting, and onboarding coaches, senior client mentors and senior advisors, including a small and bespoke cadre of executives and alumni to provide exclusive affiliated support
- Foster a community for our coaches and advisor network, helping build connection between network members and to Spencer Stuart to create close teaming relationships and connection to the firm.
- Be the glue between our consultants in the field and the coach/advisor network, helping pair and facilitate aligning the ideal advisor to the client and/or the commercial need.
- Help Spencer Stuart colleagues understand the capabilities of our coaching offers and advisory network and ensure strong "fit" between our talent and the client/market need we are trying to address.
- Lead operations oversight and initiatives for our coaching and external advisor programs. Serve as a primary liaison to our corporate teams, including finance, legal, tech, marketing. Act as point person for coordinating contracts, commercial terms, and helping monitor and continuously improve overall operations.
- Enable and support a head of our Coaching business, who will be the commercial face to our coaching business externally.
- Collaborate with the head of Coaching to manage our full-time employees that do coaching as a primary job within the Firm. This includes goal setting, performance management, annual reviews, and teaming with our L&D team on professional development.
- Partner with head of Coaching and our Solutions team to establish our "gold standard" methodology for coaching and to launch our certification business.
- Partner with our Chief Commercial Officer and marketing team to influence branding of these service offerings and to shape go-to-market approach.
- Serve as a critical member of the team in all M&A, JV, integration and partnership discussions.
- Contribute to cross-commercial team initiatives, including the development of commercial materials, business development programs, playbooks and tools to modernize access to coaching services.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge Required
- BA/BS degree required. Concentration in business, leadership or a related field desired.
- 10-15 years of experience in operations, coach management, strategic partnerships, business development, or talent management, preferably within professional services.
- Proven record of designing and executing high-impact operations programs and initiatives.
- Experience in leadership consulting, coaching or other advisory business management.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiating and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver with operational rigor and a bias for action.
- Exceptional project management skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Experience working across matrix organizations and global teams.
- Proficiency with technology platforms, including AI tools, event management software, CRM, and marketing technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to measure, analyze, and report on event performance.
- Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset, with a willingness to innovate, test innovative ideas and continuously learn.
