As a Security Officer Shopping center Access Control in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in access control at a retail distribution location, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting patrols, and providing excellent customer service and communication. This post involves driving, offering a dynamic workday as you contribute to the overall security-related efforts and uphold our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents and critical situations within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or policy violations according to company and site requirements.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
