Overview

We are seeking a Lead Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as an Admission Representative Lead. The Lead Account Registrar oversees the daily workflow of the admitting and registration team to make sure every patient is checked in accurately, quickly, and with a positive experience. The Lead Patient Account Registrar handles complex registration issues, support front line staff, and step in to resolve problems related to insurance, authorizations, or patient accounts.

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 6:30am to 2:30pm

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Lead and support the admitting team by overseeing daily workflow and ensuring smooth patient check in
  • Enter and verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation with accuracy
  • Troubleshoot complex registration, insurance eligibility, and authorization issues
  • Train new staff, help with scheduling, and maintain strong customer service standards
  • Coordinate with clinical teams and billing to resolve account issues and support compliance and quality

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Extensive knowledge of Patient Access required, Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
3. Exceptional interpersonal & organizational skills.
4. Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
5. Extremely high degree of attention to detail.
6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to prioritize.
8. Good analytical & problem solving skills.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
10. Ability to effectively manage multiple demands and function well under pressure.
