  • Lead and execute renewal strategy, presenting cost containment and benefit design recommendations to clients.
  • Deliver proactive, year-round client communication to ensure satisfaction, compliance, and program alignment.
  • Conduct client stewardship meetings, open enrollment meetings, and strategy sessions.

Internal Team Leadership

  • Serve as the internal team lead-delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure all client deliverables are executed accurately and on time.
  • Provide coaching and oversight to Account Managers and other support staff.
  • Coordinate with Producers to maintain strong communication and client strategy alignment post-sale.

Carrier and Vendor Management

  • Negotiate plan designs and rates with carriers and vendors on behalf of clients.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives.
  • Review carrier agreements, contracts, and plan documents for accuracy and compliance.

Compliance and Technical Expertise

  • Stay current on applicable laws (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.) and advise clients accordingly.
  • Ensure client benefits programs are compliant and support clients through audits or legal inquiries.
  • Use benchmarking and financial reporting to inform strategic decisions.

Business Growth

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Support Producers in finalist presentations and prospect meetings, as needed.
  • Champion innovation, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives to continuously elevate the client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in employee benefits account management or consulting, including large group and self-funded experience.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License (required).
  • Professional designation(s) preferred (CEBS, GBA, RHU, REBC, etc.).

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
