Job Description

SUMMARY

The Senior (Sr) Financial Analyst will work directly with the Division Controller to analyze results and work with the plant locations to provide explanations of results to be presented to Division leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst will possess strong communication and project management skills with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in order to meet aggressive deadlines. The Sr Financial Analyst will also be PBC /Data Management Administrator for TIMET, strong Oracle EPM knowledge is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate internal reporting requirements across the division under direction of Division Controller.
  • Oracle EPM PBC/Data Manager Administrator - includes ownership of data management between Division and Corporate EPM planning systems.
  • Assist with maintaining cadence and coordination of annual budget and monthly forecasting requirements. Set deadlines and review submissions from plants; follow up and take action as necessary.
  • Manage all weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal reporting for TIMET, including weekly tracker, with oversight over plant preparation of bridges and analysis of results. This includes weekly battleplan, assist with training and prep.
  • Cash reporting and related consolidation and analysis for daily, weekly and monthly as required.
  • Complete special projects and participate in process improvement activities and related analysis.
  • Provide insights into key drivers of financial performance and recommend adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Analyze and report on Balance Sheet and Income Statement variances, identify root causes and provide executive summary to Division leadership.
  • Document system processes and assist in user training, with focus on continuous improvement of division analysis and reporting.
  • Provides direction with local Finance teams and assist Finance, Business Analytics Manager, and Commercial with review of long-term sales agreements for financial reasonableness.
  • Assist with validation of annual base / contract pricing; validation of quarterly and annual raw material passthrough accurately calculated and communicated to customer.
  • Assist with the month end close and quarterly reporting requirements to Corporate.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with development and implementation of PBCS/OAC reporting tools for Metals Group, including new forecasting and reporting requirements.
  • Light domestic travel required (less than 10% of the time).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5-7 years work experience in accounting and/or financial analysis (including cost accounting)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • Hyperion HFM and/or Oracle Cloud and SmartView is preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Intermediate to advanced PC Skills, MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and have high level of self-motivation
  • Strong managerial presence that reflects a "hands-on", participative and proactive operating style
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Understanding of Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with financial management systems such as Hyperion, SAP, SyteLine, and/or Oracle preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in performing analysis and providing well defined answers/responses
