The Saxena Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.
Our research group uses human genetics, experimental biology and clinical research to: (1) identify the genetic basis of sleep and circadian rhythms;(2) reveal mechanisms linking sleep/circadian rhythm physiology to cardiometabolic, immune and neurological diseases; (3) ascertain fetal and maternal genetic risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes and investigate their pathophysiology. The Clinical Research Coordinator will report to and work closely with Dr. Saxena, and be responsible for following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, sleep studies, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verify all sponsor requirements are met. -Recruiting patients for clinical trials, conducts phone. -Veries the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol. -Prepares data for analysis and data entry. -Documents patient visits and procedures. -Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures. -Assists with interviewing study subjects. -Assists with study regulator submissions.
