Position Summary

National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS) Specialist schedules, dispatches and coordinates work for field inspectors and contract crews; creates notification tickets, maintains continuous communication with our customers for work requested to ensure timelines are met; monitors PGE's NJUNS activity and work order progress, identifies and resolves issues. Ensures that compliance is met. Other activities require auditing and analysis of Customer Banner Applications to limit discrepancies and to ensure National Electric Safety Code and Cooperate Guidelines are met. Preparation and Communication with Local Government Affairs, Key Customer Managers, Local Cities, and Municipalities.

Responsibilities

Research rate structures and determines which rates apply per contractual agreements. Performs WFOU (work for other utilities) complex and difficult billings. May negotiate payment arrangements within established procedures. May participate in mid-year and end of year rental rate analysis.

Audit joint use permit applications and provide adequate feedback timely. Determine which jobs may require pre - construction inspection, create work order as needed. Grant permit conditional approval on completed applications. Ensures applications meet regulatory and policy requirements. Determines optimal timing for prerequisite activities for each job. Research issues and determines which to escalate. May do field visits to review work performed and determine whether it matches permitting requirements; may work with customers and other departments to resolve related issues.

Reviews and prioritizes work orders. Plans, schedules and dispatches UAM field inspectors and contract crews. Monitors job progress and identifies and resolves issues. Communicate with field on statuses of work orders. Identifies potential issues and determines what to escalate.

Monitors system queues and works with stakeholders to develop one- to two-week schedules for a given area. Predicts resourcing needs based on current and upcoming workload. Prioritizes workload for area of control and determines best time to schedule unique as well as recurring activities. Monitors work order progress against the schedule and decides what requires escalation.

Ensures all work activities comply with regulatory and policy requirements. Provides data and information for required compliance reviews.

Responds to data requests. Determines best way for obtaining and synthesizing data from multiple sources. Develops and runs reports; present findings as needed.

Documents new processes and updates existing processes.

Responds to questions related to day-to-day work.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance or other related field or equivalent experience.
One year of experience in utility operations.

Desired Qualifications

Compensation Range:

$61,950.00 - $123,875.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
