AES Clean Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, who has a long history of working with SCADA systems, to support engineering, operation, and asset management teams by taking ownership of wind plant performance in the early phase of the project. The engineer will join a multi-functional team that provides engineering support for wind projects and has a tremendous growth opportunity. The Performance Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for technical and engineering matters related to warranty power curve test, turbine commissioning, optimizing asset performance, and tuning the turbine parameters across our fleets. Excellent communication, task management, and planning skills are needed, in addition to technical breadth. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in the operation and analysis of wind generation systems, including a thorough understanding of meteorological data, turbine performance, turbine control systems, and data acquisition systems. While dealing with the SCADA systems is the primary qualification, the role will require the review of information related to standardizing the turbine fault codes and key performance metrics to build a performance monitoring dashboard. The successful applicant will be a part of a growing team and be able to learn from the team. The position is in Louisville, CO, and may include up to 25% travel to project locations and partner offices. Full-time remote work is possible for a candidate with sufficient experience.
