17 Position Summary
Supervises NDE specialists assigned to the section who are assigned technical duties in the Power Generation to test power plant equipment for soundness providing for increased reliability. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Formal training for ASNT Level II certification in the following test methods: Visual, penetrant/dye, magnetic particle, ultrasonic basic and weld inspection, and infrared/thermography - preferred.
Experience in power plant Operations and Maintenance.
Experience in various power plant NDE technologies - preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Must have favorable driving record; Valid Class C Texas Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications

Working Environment
Indoor and outdoor work. The work assignments will be performed in places that are dirty/dusty, dimly lit, confined, highly elevated with possible exposure to temperature variations, high voltage, airborne particles and other adverse conditions.
Work overtime as required, which may include weekends and holidays. The position entails 90 % fieldwork and 10% office work.
Ability to travel to and from power plant sites, training sessions, and other business-related activities. Physical Demands
Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, stopping, kneeling, crouch, and crawling.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with or without accommodation, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently with or without accommodation, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Agility to climb and maneuver through power plant components (turbines, boilers, etc.). Ability to differentiate between colors. Wearing appropriate PPE.
