Your responsibilities

The Material Handler II Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions, with a focus on receiving. This role receives material within the system making sure all required documentation is present and the counts are accurate. This individual communicates any issues with missed shipments internally to ensure that customers are alerted.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Executes receiving process, accurately labels inbound material for stocking purposes, puts away material from receiving (SUT & material transfers).
  • Compares information on the packing slip with the purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Inspects the contents of deliveries to ensure they are undamaged. Creates UPC label to re-box any product in damaged boxes.
  • Interfaces with various tracking websites to download required paperwork for receiving in parts and components.
  • Inputs received parts into the computer system (SAP) properly and maintains proper documentation for accounts payable.
  • Routes inbound material to appropriate departments (Parts Cage, Quality, BTC).
  • Performs & sustains high level of productivity in primary area of focus (Picking, put away, small parcel, etc).
  • Other warehouse functions as needed.
  • Utilizes proper equipment to move merchandise throughout the facility (following proper certifications).
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
  • Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards policies.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 2 years warehouse experience required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Certified in both Narrow Aisle and Counterbalance Lifts required.
  • Working knowledge of UPS World Ship and FedEx Power Ship.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluent in the English language (both, oral/written).
  • Proficient computer skills: typing, word processing, printing, etc.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize necessary software tools and programs such as SAP. Working knowledge of SAP and the basic functions in the WM module preferred.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated successful employment track record, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to maintain a safe working environment.

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
