Job Description

Coffman Engineers is looking for a Safety and Compliance Professional to play a key role in supporting the company's safety initiative and maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The successful Safety and Compliance Professional candidate will sit within a Coffman office, benefiting from the camaraderie and knowledge sharing of a team environment, while supporting each of the other offices as a corporate employee promoting Safety First culture across all of Coffman Engineers.

The Safety and Compliance Professional is responsible for managing contractor management platforms, maintaining safety training records, supporting contract compliance, and collaborating across Coffman offices and business functions including Engineering, Project Management, Leadership, HR, Marketing, and Accounting.

In This Role You Will:

  • Provide administrative support for the company's safety program.
  • Maintain and update contractor management platforms.
  • Participate in the review and update of the company's safety manual.
  • Assign, track, and maintain safety related training/testing records for employees.
  • Review client contracts to ensure alignment with company safety policies and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with office safety representatives and technology client program managers to confirm that each office location adheres to established protocols regarding PPE, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures, evacuation plans, first aid kits, AEDs, and vehicle maintenance tracking for offices with vehicles.
  • Create and maintain a variety of both internal and external documentation and communication including PowerPoint presentations, professional correspondence, database management, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Safety Management, or related field preferred but not required. We will consider related Associate's degrees, certifications or additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-3 years experience supporting safety programs and/or contract compliance preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite to include Word document formatting, Excel spreadsheet manipulation, and PowerPoint creation.
  • Familiarity with contractor management platforms (e.g. ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta) strongly preferred.
