What does a VP, IT Technology Solutions- Supply Chain & Logistics do at Swire Coca - Cola? The VP, IT - Technology Solutions will play a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic initiatives across Supply Chain and Logistics. This leadership position is responsible for development of the departmental technology strategies and roadmaps and overseeing the prioritization and execution of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals. The VP will lead a team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. You will help both business units and IT ensure we are pursuing technology solutions that support Swire's strategic goals with high-value business outcomes. This leader will also engage with the bottler community to help leverage best practices and maintain awareness of industry trends and areas for optimization.
Responsibilities
- Technology Strategies and Roadmaps: Develop in conjunction with business leadership the needed technology capabilities for the business to improve their operations and digital capabilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversight to the Technology Products team to drive the prioritization and delivery of projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives. Work with functional and financial leaders to develop annual plans and budgets for major initiatives. Identify other areas of operational improvement within Swire IT where technology can be leveraged for strategic outcomes - Technology Initiative Management: Ensure proper business alignment and priority setting for all technology initiatives. Once priorities are set, successfully lead large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption. Drive sustainable change that positively impacts the organization's operations and strategic direction. Manage, plan, and communicate resource capacity and plan adjustments as needed to drive right strategic outcomes
- Executive Collaboration: Partner with C-suite executives, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to drive organizational success and innovation. Work with IT functional leaders to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure delivery of high-value, high-quality work
- Initiative Oversight: Oversee critical initiatives related to infrastructure, security, reporting and insights, third-party software implementation and integration, and postproduction system support. Ensure rigorous accountability for project cost, quality, and schedule, maintaining high standards of performance
- Financial Accountability: Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring cost control and financial accountability. Optimize resource allocation to maximize return on investment for all projects
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across the organization. Develop, review, and publish periodic Technology Initiative dashboard health metrics, analyze, and recommend actions for improvement. Develop PMO communication trackers to ensure stakeholders always know status. Share best practices, and liaison with Corporate Enterprise PMO as appropriate
- Operational Process Excellence: Champion adherence to the standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve project outcomes. Measure IT Service delivery, value and outcomes and internal customer satisfaction
- Leadership and Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture within the team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability by developing and improving the playbook, skills, tools, processes and KPI's used by Project and Product Managers. Recruit, develop and manage direct and indirect reports, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to succeed in the field of Technology Project and Product management
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategic process improvement initiatives to enhance Technology organizational effectiveness. Identify and develop systems, infrastructure & frameworks, and decision criteria for frameworks to be utilized on projects. Ensure the Technology Product team is trained and capable of executing successfully with the appropriate methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems required and
- Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems preferred
- 10+ years in Technology or IT experience across multiple disciplines and managing IT related projects or products including large enterprise required
- 5+ years in people leader role leading a product, project, or program managers including leading large enterprise IT initiatives required
- 4+ years experience using Scrum PM methodologies either as a Scrum Master or as a Product Owner or PMBOK principles preferred
- 3+ years experience in food/beverage industry or CPG or other manufacturing industry preferred
- 5+ years product, Program Management or Portfolio Experience preferred
- Able to effectively understand and create enterprise wide technology strategies and development of executable technology roadmaps to ensure development of the needed technology capabilities
- Technology enthusiast with a customer centric mindset who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive digital transformation and value. Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and motivated by complex technical and business challenges.
- Strong facilitation, collaboration and documentation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively both in speech and writing at an Executive Level with confidence
- Able to effectively communicate/drive decisions with C-level stakeholders - both written and verbal skills. Ability to build business case, influence and partner with executive leaders.
- Team player, but holds individuals accountable. Strong collaboration skills to help a team or work group achieve its goals
- Proactive: Seeks out information, answers, etc. without needing to be pushed to do so. Ability to quickly process information and distill into decisions, issues, items requiring action
- Experience partnering with the business/multiple teams to develop strategic technology roadmaps and measuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
