This position is located at the RTS Operations Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Essential Functions
- Provide effective cybersecurity analysis and operational support within the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Operations Center.
- Execute daily cyber assurance tasks in support of the RTS ISSM and senior staff, applying standards from the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD, Army regulations, and related cyber disciplines.
- Conduct initial examination and triage of potential security incidents and policy breaches. Assist in executing procedures defined within the Incident Response Plan.
- Perform ongoing support, monitoring, validation, and verification of hardware and software security controls within the network environment.
- Actively assist in the administration of the local IAVM program, coordinating proactive vulnerability scanning, and aiding in incident detection and response efforts across RTS.
- Monitor the deployment and administration of endpoint security agents, focusing on reporting anomalies, and verifying compliance to meet operational and security requirements.
- Participate in Cyber Assurance training, workshops, and program initiatives as directed by direct leadership.

Required Skills
- Expert in validating technical system security posture using DISA STIG Checklists and SRGs.
- Advanced proficiency in network vulnerability scanning and operational execution of the Army IAVM program for prioritization and validation of critical remediation.
- Mastery of Splunk (or equivalent SIEM) for developing complex correlation rules, threat hunting, and continuous monitoring.
- Experienced with ACAS/Nessus for integrated reporting and HBSS/EDR (e.g., Trellix/ePO, Microsoft Defender) for enterprise endpoint security management.
- Functional expertise in the operational configuration and continuous monitoring of Firewall and IDS/IPS to maintain security controls effectiveness.
- Strong working knowledge of AR 25-1/2 and related Cyber Assurance/RMF policies, ensuring regulatory alignment in operations.
- Proven ability to author and maintain high-impact SOPs and technical reports that standardize complex operations.
Required Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years or more experience in Information Assurance, System Administration, and/or technical support of an Enterprise environment.
- Experience communicating security concerns and issues to non-technical audiences.
- DoD 8570 / 8140.01 (DoD Cyberspace Workforce Management): Security+, CISSP, or CISM.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Current possession of a valid DoD Secret Security Clearance preferred.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
