Materials Supervisor (1st Shift)

• Leading, coaching, and developing materials teams to ensure safety and efficiency in the manufacturing plant
• Optimizing processes and applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste
• Tracking large materials inventories and ensuring accuracy across systems
• Collaborating with other departments to drive continuous improvement
• Managing cost and inventory controls to support operational goals
• Empowering team members to perform at their best in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (typically 3+ years in manufacturing operations)
• 2+ years of experience supervising a team
• 2+ years of experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
• Emotional stability and resilience to handle high-stress, high-demand environments
• Must be able to work 1st shift (approximately 5am to 2:30pm)

• Supervising teams with at least 10 direct reports (2+ years preferred)
• Managing and tracking raw materials and inventory (2+ years preferred)
• Demonstrating strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excelling in organization and time management under pressure

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
