State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking anOperations & Quality Assurance Managertooverseedaily operational activities while ensuring the highest quality standards in service delivery and compliance. This position drives process improvements, manages key operational assets, and maintains effective quality assurance programs that align with regulatory requirements and best practices

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Actively participate in the majority of Credit Union projects to ensure proper process alignment, integration of new procedures, and the creation of relevant training materials.
  • Manage relationships with retail-related vendors; analyze contracts and coordinate with external partners to maintain seamless operations.
  • Develop and enforce quality standards, guidelines, and best practices across all operational units.
  • Oversee daily operational activities, including management of escalated member and Credit Union issues.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor test scripts for new processes and system upgrades; troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Solid understanding of key compliance regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC) requirements, sanctions programs, financial crimes compliance, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with credit union policies, lending laws, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members across the Credit Union to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding operations and procedural gaps.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Competencies:



  • Minimum of 7years of experience in a financial institution or equivalent
  • At least3years of leadership or management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or relevant certificationspreferred
  • Proven ability to influence and drive behavioral changes across teams
  • Strong technical writing skills withthe ability to communicate complex information in simple terms
  • Solid understanding of finance regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on member service and staff engagement
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in multitasking or prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform well under pressure
  • Experience with Symitar and Knowledge Base platforms preferred
