Job Description

The Strategic Account Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping global partnerships with strategic customers. You'll represent Rockwell Automation's full portfolio of products and solutions, driving strategic growth and delivering value at the executive level. You will lead global collaboration efforts, ensuring communication across extended teams and enabling worldwide sales and support to expand our product and service footprint. Acting as the primary liaison between the Strategic Account and Rockwell Automation's Product Groups and Divisions, you'll influence important decisions and foster long-term relationships that accelerate mutual success.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Represent Rockwell Automation's full portfolio of products and services, continuously building expertise in customer-critical areas.
  • Engage with senior and executive leaders, demonstrating clear economic value tied to business drivers, KPIs, and competitive advantages.
  • Drive growth through collaboration and indirect leadership of extended teams, balancing efforts across multiple customer levels.
  • Build trust-based, strategic relationships with key sponsors, formalizing expectations and creating growth strategies for all products and services globally.
  • Quickly qualify opportunities to focus resources on high-potential activities.
  • Ensure the Strategic Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by developing strong internal partnerships across product groups and global teams.
  • Participate in customer planning and implementation teams to provide early input and recommend strategies that deliver mutual benefit.
  • Identify new growth opportunities across products and services for shared success.
  • Develop and communicate an annual Strategic Account plan in coordination with global sales and support teams, tracking progress throughout the year.
  • Expand Rockwell Automation's global presence and ensure consistent delivery across regions.
  • Travel as needed to communicate objectives, engage extended teams, and pursue global growth opportunities.
  • Define and share mutually agreed success stories as industry references to support global selling efforts.
  • Model executive-level sales presence and mentor colleagues when appropriate.
  • Apply company policies and procedures in compliance with legal, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50% of time.
  • A valid drivers license.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program.
  • Experience managing global accounts.
  • Applied experience in one or more areas related to selling control/information solutions into our target industries
  • Experience selling at the senior management and executive levels, and convey Rockwell Automation's products and services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value.
