Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Prospect Development, the Assistant Director of Prospect Development provides intelligence that informs fundraising strategy by identifying and assessing major gift prospects; monitoring and disseminating news on major donors and prospects; and providing research and analysis on individuals, companies, and foundations. The role will be responsible for preparing confidential prospect reports, including biographic and philanthropic information from the Law School's CRM as well as publically available information, in order to support the fundraising efforts of senior leadership. The role proactively pinpoints new prospects, assigning financially promising constituents across gift officer portfolios according to post. Through quarterly meetings, the role partners with gift officers to better capture value on behalf of Law students and faculty via individual portfolio work. Additionally, encompassing managerial responsibilities, this role oversees NYU Law student workers and strategically assigns workload with the aim of maximizing ROI for staff. Further, this role supports the Law School's annual and long-term fundraising goals by conducting prospect research utilizing publicly available information sources, as well as data provided through internal and external sources. The Assistant Director of Prospect Research prepares comprehensive written analysis, utilizes data analytics and relationship mapping, and updates pertinent information in the Law School's CRM database. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
