At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are dedicated to providing a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area by protecting the Columbia River and remediating the Central Plateau. Our Project Integration team under our Business Services organization is seeking a Co-Op Business (intern) to gain valuable, real-world experience related to Project Integration, Project Controls, Estimating, Risk Management and Scheduling.

Under direct supervision, the individual will perform job duties that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Providing a broad range of Project Integration related support to the department working within established procedures and CPCCo Earned Value Management System.
* Learning about day-to-day activities associated with the CPCCo Project Controls Analyst function.
* Assisting program functions while developing a working knowledge of project integration systems, processes and functions.
* Assisting Project teams while developing a working knowledge of the project controls analyst function and how it applies to direct work functions.
* Developing a working knowledge of the following: P6 scheduling software, COBRA cost system, the Vendor Accrual Integration Module (VAIM), and MS Excel.

Required Qualifications


* A U.S. citizen.
* At least 18 years of age.
* Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment.
* Currently enrolled with either Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC), Columbia Basin College (CBC), or any online student living local to the Tri-Cities, WA.
* Students will be sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate status and enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution.
* Willing and able to work 15-40 hours a week on a Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. schedule.
* Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program that relates to CPCCo, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and aligns with the critical skills and job assignment requirements.


Desired Qualifications


* Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with and convey information to company personnel and management.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment with attention to detail.
* Motivated to learn, have a questioning attitude, and be forward thinking.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, and more importantly Excel).
* Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and/or Cobra cost management.


Compensation & Benefits


Starting rate is based on academic standing and field of degree, ranging from an hourly rate of $21.00 to $28.00 plus, an additional $4.93 health & welfare adder in accordance with the Service Contract Act.

* A casual-dress work environment, where jeans are a regular thing.
* A standard 4-10's work schedule Mondays to Thursdays from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* Hiring Timeline: Interviews will take place after the postings closes.
* Casual-Dress Work Environment: employees can dress casually, with jeans being commonly worn.
* Substantial Footwear most positions and site tours may require substantial footwear. This includes shoes made of sturdy construction. Such as leather or equally firm material, that fully enclose the foot. They should have a semi-rigid, non-slip sole with a well-defined traction pattern. Athletic shoes are not considered substantial.
* Work Locations and Commute: Work locations vary, with commutes ranging from 20 to over 45 minutes from 2620 Fermi, Richland, WA.
