Description Responsibilities Perform the review andanalysis of capital project and asset activityto ensure thatfixed assetsare recorded timely and accurately in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)and documented internal controls Record the acquisition and disposal of company assets, calculating and recording depreciation, reconciling the fixed asset ledger, and conducting physical inventory counts Provide support necessary to plan for and achievecorporatefinancialobjectives. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Follow basic operating procedures within the Company accounting framework to provide efficient and timely financial reporting. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting postings and deadlines. Reconcile assignedgeneral ledgeraccounts. Assist in review of service center accounting including reconciliation review and compliance with Company accounting framework. Preparedocumentationforfinancial audits, tax audits,and variousregulatory notices. Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. Drive ongoing improvement by ensuring adequate internal controls and accurate reporting in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles. Qualifications BS Degree in Accountingrequired. CPA or CPA progress a plus. 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience at a large company or public accounting firm, with a sound understanding of accounting for fixed assets Experience with Sage fixed assets is a plus but not required Strongknowledge of accounting,including compliance with United States Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciples. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
