Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Management Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive military personnel, manpower, and information management support to ensure compliance with Air Force and U.S. Space Force regulations. Responsibilities include performance report management, board preparation, personnel tracking, records management, and administrative support to SSC/CG and associated directorates.

This Task Order (TO) provides the MilComm & PNT Directorate with a broad range of acquisition capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, operations, and maintenance, and lifecycle acquisition activities. In execution of the requirements within this PWS, outputs may take the form of, but are not limited to, information, expertise, alternatives, analyses, evaluations, processes to eliminate waste, standardizing best practices, reducing cycle times/cost of doing business, and/or recommendations to complement the Government's organic resources in accomplishing its mission.

Responsibilities

    Track military performance reports, feedback, promotion forms, stratifications, and force shaping forms in accordance with regulations.
  • Support force shaping boards (RIF, TERA, VSP, ESERB) and prepare/submit stratification board packages.
  • Notify raters of performance report due dates, quality-check reports, and submit completed reports before suspense dates.
  • Track feedback due dates and notify raters of required initial and mid-term feedback.
  • Update weekly and monthly briefing charts with performance report status and report any delays to the Government.
  • Maintain military member records, updating files with signed performance reports and SURFs.
  • Monitor officer promotion and force shaping boards; identify eligible members; prepare and quality-check packages; submit to FSS by deadlines.
  • Submit duty title changes and reporting official updates; monitor personnel databases weekly and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain personnel management rosters, organizational charts, unit manning documents, and related manpower records.
  • Track and support Individual Mobilization Augmentees, ensuring compliance with AF/USSF guidance; coordinate with IMA Administrator.
  • Monitor military assignment cycle boards; notify leadership of requisition timelines; prepare and submit requisition forms.
  • Analyze current and projected unit manning and conduct manpower studies to support planning and resource allocation.
  • Support civilian personnel actions by identifying vacancies, preparing RPAs, coordinating waivers and CPDs, and managing MCR updates.
  • Prepare and coordinate special civilian manpower requests, including reimbursable actions, superior qualification packages, by-name requests, and position designations.
  • Coordinate and support interview boards, including scheduling, preparing materials, and maintaining tracking databases.
  • Create and maintain organizational charts, mission descriptions, recall rosters, and telephone directories; consolidate and submit recall rosters as required.
  • Serve as Functional Area Records Manager; train record custodians; maintain AFRIMS file plans; ensure CBT compliance; conduct staff assistance visits.
  • Track, update, modify, or create SSC Instructions and Operating Instructions in coordination with the Publications and Forms Manager.
  • Support FOIA responses and ensure compliance with Privacy Act procedures.
  • Submit phone updates; maintain in/out-processing checklists; brief new employees; verify checklist completion.
  • Conduct daily mail runs to pick up, deliver, and sign for accountable mail and parcels across the installation.
  • Use government vehicles on a space-available basis following required insurance and authorization procedures.


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance
Education: High School Diploma

Years of Experience: Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience; to include eight (8) years of DoD experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Years of Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience; OR,

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
