The part time junior specialist will be working on translational research projects that focus on human cognitive function and developing innovative brain imaging approaches and analyzing molecular biomarkers to study molecular predictors of memory function in adult research subjects Position Overview: The specialist will assist with study coordination and work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team that includes oncologists, neurologists, radiologists, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students. The specialist will assist with coordinating the collection of blood sample tubes from participating study subjects and work with team members to process the blood samples for subsequent genetic and protein analysis. The specialist will handle human blood samples and perform processing steps in the laboratory to isolate DNA and other molecules for analysis. The specialist will help maintain accurate records and inventory of samples and prepare progress reports. We aim to provide valuable experience to prepare candidates for future career growth.
