The Assistant Materials Purchaser supports the procurement of materials and equipment for Consigli projects by assisting in order coordination, vendor communication, and tracking deliveries. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their knowledge of construction materials procurement and supply chain operations while providing excellent service to project teams.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Assist in coordinating daily purchase orders between job sites and vendors.
  • Support the collection, tracking, and confirmation of purchase order (PO) acknowledgments.
  • Monitor order status and help resolve delivery issues promptly.
  • Help research and qualify potential vendors to expand sourcing options.
  • Facilitate the movement of materials and equipment from the warehouse to job sites.
  • Assist in organizing and managing overstock materials in the warehouse.
  • Provide excellent customer service and timely communication to project teams regarding material needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

  • Basic understanding of construction materials and procurement processes preferred.

  • Proficient with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, email).
Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Previous experience or interest in construction materials procurement or related field preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day with occasional out-of-state travel (less than 10%).
