SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for providing the electrical knowledge and skills to perform the preventive and repair maintenance to the facility equipment in a safe, economical and environmentally sound manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety; Adhere to and carry out all company environmental rules, polices, standards & procedures.

  • Conducts tasks with appropriate PPE as assigned.

  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical equipment and the associated documentation within assigned areas of responsibility and capable of utilizing the following standard reference material such as ANSI, NFPA 70e, NEC, and NETA.

  • Working knowledge of all the standard electrical test equipment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the power distribution system to write Safe Work Permits, switching orders and perform electrical systems isolation.

  • Must have the ability to read, interpret basic electrical drawings, maintain, and initiate required revisions to documentation.

  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify, analyze, and resolve electrical and control system issues using technical knowledge and logical thinking.

  • Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing schedules to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Teamwork: Works effectively with colleagues and other departments, fostering collaboration and supporting shared objectives.

  • Detail Oriented: Maintains accuracy and precision when installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and safety protocols.

  • Risk Awareness: Understands and applies safety procedures when working with high-voltage systems and hazardous materials; proactively identifies and mitigates risks.

  • Communication (Written & Verbal): Clearly conveys technical information, updates, and documentation to team members and supervisors in both written and verbal formats.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate from an approved Electrical school is required.

  • 3 or more years of industrial manufacturing and electrical experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working inside, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE and safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harness, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs.Travel may occasionally be required.
