Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor- Job Responsibilities:
- The Psych Emergency Clinician Supervisor provides direct/indirect clinical supervision to central access clinicians to enhance their individual clinical skills and the quality of services to patients.
- Develops goals and managing fiscal activities of the department.
- Responsible for oversight of daily operations related to clinical evaluations and administrative functions, procedures and protocols.
- Supervises administrative operations including scheduling/registration, and direct patient care.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management.
- Collaborates with other department leaders, providers and team members with in Inova, and external agencies to help support the care and disposition of patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health-related field. Experience: 5 years of experience, 3 of which are post-licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support required within 3months of hire
- Vistelar de-escalation certifications required within 6 Months of hire
- Approved Clinical Supervisor Certification within 3 Months
- License: one of the following required upon start:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP),
- Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years supervisory experience.
- experience in the ED and/or Emergency Services/CSB
