As VP Partnerships & Alliances, you will build, lead and grow the strategic alliances and partner ecosystem in the health-tech/AI domain for Optum Insight. You will identify, negotiate, co-build, and co-go-to-market with technology partners (cloud platforms, AI firms, healthcare software vendors, system integrators, VARs/resellers) to jointly develop solutions, resell offerings, co-sell to the health-care market, and drive shared revenue. You will bring existing relationships, deep industry knowledge, a solid commercial acumen around partnership constructs (revenue share, VAR/reseller models, joint-IP, co-build) and the ability to interact credibly with senior executives internally and externally. You will also continuously scout the market for new partner opportunities, assess emerging technologies, and embed partners into our product and go-to-market strategies.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the global alliances strategy aligned with Optum Insight's business and growth objectives in the health-tech/AI domain.
* Identify, evaluate and onboard strategic technology and cloud partners (e.g., major cloud platforms, AI/ML companies, healthcare software innovators, system integrators, VARs/resellers) who can collaborate in solution development, joint go-to-market, and revenue generation.
* Build existing partner relationships (ideally you come with a rolodex) and nurture new ones: manage executive-level relationships with partner leadership to ensure alignment, trust and joint planning.
* Drive co-build initiatives: work with product, engineering, and partner teams to create joint solutions/integrations, define who builds what, IP ownership, pricing, service models.
* Create go-to-market (GTM) plans with partners: joint marketing, co-selling, channel enablement, training, partner-led pipeline development, joint sales campaigns, measurable partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue.
* Define and manage partnership business models: VAR/reseller models, licensing, revenue-share, royalty, referral, joint IP, cloud-consumption model, service-provider model. Ensure contracts, commercial terms, incentives and KPIs are aligned.
* Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Legal & Compliance to ensure partnership programs are integrated, scalable and deliver business impact.
* Continuously scout the market: track emerging technologies in AI/ML, health-tech, cloud innovations, identify and screen potential partner firms, run partner diligence, build business cases for new alliances.
* Establish and track metrics, dashboards, operational processes for partner onboarding, enablement, performance, pipeline attribution, revenue impact, partner satisfaction and health ecosystem.
* Lead, build and manage a high-performing alliances team (if required) with regional and functional responsibilities. Mentor, recruit, drive performance.
* Represent Optum Insight externally at industry events, partner forums, executive meetings - advocate the ecosystem strategy, position Optum as partner of choice.
* Work with the senior leadership team to provide insight into industry and partner trends, make strategic recommendations, shape investment priorities for partnerships.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree.
* 12+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships / alliances / business development within technology or healthcare technology firms.
* 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record of building and scaling a partner ecosystem (especially technology, cloud, VAR/reseller, system integrator) that has generated meaningful revenue growth and market expansion.
* Demonstrated experience in the healthcare (or health-tech) domain, including understanding of provider, payer or life-sciences segments, with awareness of AI / machine learning / data analytics trends in healthcare.
* Credible experience with evaluating, negotiating and running commercial partnership models: revenue share, licensing, co-sell/co-build, resell/VAR, service models.
* Existing senior-level relationships (C-suite / partner leadership) in the tech partner ecosystem (cloud platforms, AI firms, healthcare software vendors, SIs/VARs) is soldly preferred.
* Solid executive presence: ability to engage, influence and negotiate with senior executives at partner organizations and within Optum.
* Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills: ability to work with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance and Customer Success.
* Strategic thinker AND operationally sold: able to create the vision and also ensure flawless execution and operational discipline.
* Comfort in dynamic, complex, fast-growing environment with ambiguity.
* Solid analytical skills: able to build business cases, define metrics/KPIs, track partner performance, pipeline attribution and revenue impact.
* Ability to travel 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

* MBA or advanced degree.
* Healthcare industry experience.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $196,600 to $337,100 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
