The Department of Radiation Oncology lab within the Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a part-time, hourly Analyst for a role that involves a large breast cancer dataset.

The role includes data cleaning for a large, medical dataset of MRIs and machine learning analysis of time-series data. The applicant must meet with clinicians to understand the nature of the dataset and translate that knowledge into data cleaning so the data can be properly used by machine learning algorithms.

The Data Analyst will work in an interdisciplinary group of faculty in order to prepare the dataset for machine learning analysis. This is a part-time position in Radiation Oncology within the Comprehensive Cancer Center with the possibility of renewal based on business needs of the unit.

This position is part-time / 20 hours per week.

Education/Experience

Bachelors required, M.S. preferred or equivalent with background in computer science, machine learning, or related fields.

Preferred: At least 2 years of prior technical experience, which could include graduate school.

Strong proficiency with:

  • Preparing a dataset for machine learning training
  • Time-series machine learning experience, preferably with time-series supervised learning.
  • Python
  • At least an introductory course in machine learning
