As a Parts Specialist at United Rentals, you will be responsible for supporting the parts department, including the maintenance of sufficient inventory levels to meet projected parts needs of customers and the branch's service department.

What you'll do:
  • Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers; acquire parts from other branches as-needed to maintain and replenish inventory
  • Process external and internal parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed
  • Advise Management on parts activities, future trends and matters which affect the efficiency of the department regarding customer relations
  • Maintain current parts manuals, catalogs, literature and price lists for all equipment sold by the company
  • Other duties assigned as needed


Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • 2+ years of retail exposure
  • Heavy equipment knowledge is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools to increase performance efficiency
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills


This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.

Responsabilites complementaires(liste non exhaustive):
  • Acheter des pieces aupres de fabricants et de fournisseurs ainsi que des pieces aupres d'autres succursales, au besoin, pour maintenir et reapprovisionner l'inventaire
  • Traiter les commandes de pieces externes et internes en remplissant les factures, en mettant a jour les registres d'inventaire, en verifiant le credit du client et en expediant les pieces au besoin
  • Conseiller la direction sur les activites relatives aux pieces, les tendances a venir et les questions qui ont un effet sur l'efficacite du service en ce qui a trait aux relations avec la clientele
  • Tenir a jour les manuels, les catalogues, la documentation et les baremes tarifaires des pieces correspondantes a tous les equipements vendus par l'entreprise
  • Autres responsabilites en fonction des besoins
Exigences du poste:
  • Diplome d'etudes secondaires ou equivalent
  • Permis de conduire en cours de validite et dossier de conduite acceptable
  • Plus de deux annees d'experience dans le commerce de detail
  • La connaissance de l'equipement lourd est preferable
  • Aptitude a utiliser Microsoft Office et les outils technologiques d'amelioration de l'efficacite et du rendement
  • Sens du service a la clientele et du travail d'equipe, competences en communication verbale et ecrite
