The PC Imaging Technician is responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying computer systems for end users. This role ensures that all devices are properly imaged, updated, and compliant with organizational standards before distribution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience with imaging tools and enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: * Perform imaging of desktops and laptops using industry-standard tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), SCCM, or similar). * Configure operating systems, drivers, and required applications according to company standards. * Validate image integrity and troubleshoot imaging failures or hardware compatibility issues. * Maintain and update master images to include latest patches, security updates, and approved software. * Document imaging processes and maintain accurate inventory of imaged devices. * Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure smooth deployment and onboarding of end-user devices. * Provide technical support for imaging-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed. Qualifications: * 1-2 years of experience in PC imaging or desktop support. * Familiarity with Windows operating systems and imaging tools (MDT, SCCM, PXE boot, etc.). * Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple imaging tasks in a fast-paced environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hyattsville, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
