DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Staff Physician 2, you will provide general medical care for all residents as well as coverage and continuity of care during physician absences. You will perform comprehensive assessments and physical examinations to arrive at accurate diagnoses, develop and execute appropriate therapeutic measures and resident care plans, and consult with staff and courts regarding resident conditions, welfare, and progress. You will document all clinical decisions and actions, write orders for medications and treatments, and dictate reports. This role requires a genuine desire to provide attentive care that promotes well-being by utilizing the best practices and techniques of primary care medicine. In addition, you will participate in staff meetings and Post Mortem Committee meetings, perform employee health physicals, and provide life sustaining emergency services as needed. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will participate in a rotational on-call schedule which will include nights, weekends, and holidays. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
