Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Inspector to join their team in Monroe, NC. In this role, you will support and execute quality and process improvement initiatives throughout the normal production process. This is a working production position with responsibility for monitoring the quality of products being produced. Your Shift: 1st shift; Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm Your Responsibilities: * Verify that final products meet production standards by comparing them to the written order instructions * Examine material by confirming manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials * Return products for re-work when needed and complete documentation * Explain to operators and supervisors when products do not match client instructions * Move between machines to verify job accuracy * Cross-train in postal, shipping, hand table, and other areas * Report quality issues to senior management immediately * Ensure items leaving the facility are 100 percent accurate * Input data into the production database * Learn the production process and the role of QA * Maintain a safe and compliant work environment * Inspect materials and products using fixed or preset measuring instruments * Confirm materials and products meet established tolerance levels and are not damaged You Must Have: * High School Diploma/GED * Previous Quality Inspection or related experience in a fast-paced production environment * 6 months to 1 year of production experience * Strong attention to detail * Basic measuring skills including reading a ruler and other devices * Basic computer skills such as opening, saving, printing, and entering data * Strong communication skills in English * Ability to meet deadlines * Good problem-solving skills * Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production needs * U.S. citizenship required due to FISMA federal background check We Would Also Prefer: * Experience in the print and mail industry * Post-high school education * Six Sigma training * Lean manufacturing training About Taylor Corporation One of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
