Summary: Goldbelt C6, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager that will provide support in both emergency preparedness/response and day-to-day program operations. This individual will provide technical, administrative, and communication support to ensure efficient coordination across CDC, jurisdictions, and federal partners. The ideal candidate will help manage emergency response communications, maintain critical resource databases, and support inbox and information flow management. They will also provide strong programmatic support through calendar management, meeting coordination, data collection and analysis, reporting, and Salesforce use. Additional responsibilities include assisting Health Department Liaison Officers, conducting environmental scans on emerging public health threats, and supporting research or project teams with data, scheduling, and documentation needs
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Emergency preparedness and response support:
- Assist JRR in ensuring optimal technical assistance and communication related to CDC emergency preparedness and response efforts
- Apply business acumen when assisting JRR emergency response representatives draft and disseminate mass emails to jurisdictions and federal partners
- Assist operations staff in monitoring JRR's functional email box; notify respective staff of corresponding actions needed
- Maintain database for tracking resources such as guidance documents, checklists, and health advisories; establish document control measures and file information for use during future emergency responses
- Programmatic support:
- Manage calendars; schedule internal and external meetings in accordance with JRR's needs
- Lead data call efforts; collate and submit information to JRR leadership within the designated timeframe
- Enter and extract data from Salesforce in forms useful for program monitoring and decision-making
- Use computer software to create spreadsheets, manage databases, and assist in preparing or editing presentations
- Populate daily or weekly progress reports and other project/program management tools for use by JRR leadership
- Attend internal and external meetings, take meeting minutes, maintain a filing system, disseminate meeting summaries, and assist with tracking action items
- Provide support to Health Department Liaison Officers (HDLNOs) during times of competing programmatic interests and time-sensitive deliverables/action items
- As needed, support HDLNOs by maintaining awareness of current and emerging public health threats (e.g. by conducting environmental scans of news media and public health department websites)
- Support JRR staff who are working on research and similar projects by assisting with developing instruments, collecting and analyzing data, contributing to manuscripts or other communications of findings, scheduling status meetings, etc.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse set of government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, teamwork, management, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to derive solutions to complex problems
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent judgement and decision making, with strong analytical skills; business intuition and business acumen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Public Health, Management, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in technical writing and editing
- Experience developing quality assurance plans and compliance documentation
- Previous experience working with the CDC is desired to understand the culture and environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project or program management. Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Previous experience with federal government agencies; preferably with CDC
Pay and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
