Role description
This role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of network and security projects, ensuring all solutions align with global build standards. You will collaborate closely with security compliance, engineering, and operations teams to maintain a highly resilient, secure, and compliant network infrastructure that meets stringent Regulatory, Governmental, and Industry security control requirements. The environment spans leading technologies from Skyhigh, Imperva, Trellix, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, and Citrix-relevant certifications and experience with these platforms are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across WAF, IPS, Proxy, DDoS protection, IP networking, VPN, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and load balancing.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver network and security design, implementation strategies, and migration plans for projects ranging from low to high complexity.
Perform hands-on configuration and deployment of new infrastructure solutions.
Follow ITIL-based change control processes for all implementations.
Participate in project meetings as the technical SME, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and technical expectations are met.
Implement standard designs from Network Engineering teams-covering configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, optimization, and requirement gathering.
Provide technical expertise and guidance for broader solution delivery initiatives.
Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Maintain deep knowledge of Network and Security technologies to support integration of emerging tools and capabilities.
Communicate effectively at both executive and technical levels to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Consult, assess, audit, and gather technical requirements to design solutions that address complex business and security needs.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Bring a consultative mindset-actively listening, understanding unmet needs, and translating them into strategic, scalable solutions.
Demonstrate adaptability, motivation, and a problem-solving approach in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure knowledge continuity and strong cross-regional alignment.
Required Background & Skills
5+ years of proven experience in managing, provisioning, and implementing network and firewall technologies within large, globally distributed environments.
Expert-level proficiency in Check Point and Fortinet firewall technologies.
Strong understanding of HTTP, SSL/TLS, PKI, and advanced security concepts.
Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment, monitoring tools, and packet/network analyzers.
Ability to create detailed Method of Procedures (MoPs) and maintain high-quality documentation.
Experience with network automation tools (preferred).
Strong knowledge of Layer 3 technologies: IPv4, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, HSRP, DMVPN, NHRP, GETVPN.
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 technologies: Spanning Tree, VLANs, QinQ, Dot1q.
Operational experience with load-balancing solutions such as Citrix Netscaler and F5.
Foundational understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and familiarity with APIs.
Experience working effectively in a remote, self-managed environment.
Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead productive meetings in cross-functional, global teams.
Relevant network and firewall certifications (e.g., CCNP, vendor certifications) are preferred.
