Hours:

Monday - Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Responsible for performing recovery activities regarding delinquent accounts in accordance with Bank and legal guidelines, including related state and federal regulations. Ensuring the operation of the Managed/Special Asset Division functions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies daily any past due loan issues, such as insufficient funds on draft payments, payments incorrectly posted, and processes payment waivers for Managed Assets.

o Responds to senior manager and executive inquiries on the past due report.

o Contacts customers by phone/email to get a commitment when loan payments will be made.

  • Professionally interacts with all levels of management, employees, and Special Assets customers who call the bank on a daily basis.

  • Provides concierge care for Commercial Banking VIP customers, including but not limited to customer deposits, transfer and verification of wire transfers, etc.

  • Communicates information on seriously delinquent loans to the appropriate loan officer so a decision can be made on how to proceed.

  • Serves as back up for administrative personnel within the department.

  • Provides consistent, superior quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds S&T Bank's standards.

  • Must have strong knowledge and understanding of FIS loan and deposit screens.

  • Prepares, types, and sends letters, memos, notices, and various other correspondences.

  • .Daily processing of detailed wire transfers, advances, and on-line transfers

  • Assists Special Asset Officers with loan closings, funding, and customer inquiries

  • Assists department management in responding to legal actions involving the bank. This can be document retrieval, coordinating a response, collating the documents, interacting with IT regarding e-mails, and providing management support for additional responses

  • Assists in the transfer of accounts to and from Managed Assets

  • Processes payments and payoffs. Prepares GL tickets for the transactions, payments in FTM and Converge

  • Work within the SAM system to complete Workflows (i.e monthly and quarterly charge offs, CAR reports, etc.)

  • Back up on Daily Risk Rating Report

  • Assumes other secretarial duties including making meeting arrangements, answering phones, ordering supplies, filing, and setting up appointments

  • Coordinate quarterly Managed Assets Committee and Criticized Asset Committee schedules. Assign the accounts and documents to be reviewed. Prepare and distribute meeting packets via Teams

  • Assists customers in resolving any issues with loan and deposit accounts

  • Maintains and updates the Special Assets Home Page on the Intranet

  • Assists in note sales. Helps to gather documentation, collate it for delivery to the debt buyer. Packages the documents for delivery to the debt buyer. Images all files sent to the debt buyer. Assists in processing the appropriate transaction slips to complete the transaction

  • Performs additional duties as required

Education:

Require a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience:

Requires ten plus years general business as well as specialized experience, specifically in the areas of collections, banking systems, payment processing.

Physical Demands:

Average amount of use of keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 60% of the business day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20"for computer work.
