About the Opportunity:

The Electrician will install maintain and repair electrical equipment and control panels. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical motor controls as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. This position reports to Maintenance & Facilities Manager and support the operations group in the shop.

Location: Whitesboro, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, repairs and maintains electrical components on industrial equipment.
  • Installs conduits and cables.
  • Ensures installations comply with electrical codes.
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Replaces electrical components as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed formal training in basic electrical theory
  • Knowledge of 208V and 480V (Delta) 3 phase systems, motor control and schematic reading
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, electrical code/trade practices and low voltage controls
  • Basic PC skills
  • Knowledge, troubleshooting and repair of AC and DC drives and controls, instrumentation and basic calibrations.
  • Ability to wire integrated systems from more advanced wiring schematics
  • Safely work on any equipment in the plant
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • High school diploma or GED and have completed a formal apprenticeship or valid electrician's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently employed as an Electrician in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to use basic test equipment
  • Adhere to defense industry's initiatives on business ethics and conduct with respect to fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Meet compliance requirements of Pursuit Aerospace Business Conduct Guidelines as applicable to this position

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

This position follows a 12-hour shift rotation. Shifts run either Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday. The shifts that are available (depending on the role) are:

Day shifts (6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.) - Shift Differential $2.00 per hour
Night shifts (6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.) - Shift Differential $3.00 per hour
