Security Officer - Access Control - Tech Campus

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Tech Campus in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post within a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will interact with staff and visitors, manage access points, and utilize technology for reporting and communication. This role is a driving position, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry within the tech and media location.
• Assist visitors and employees with access procedures, providing customer service while following site-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary following Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations and/or unusual activity according to established procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, following location-specific protocols and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
