Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the design and development of injection molded and machined mechanical components and assemblies for pipettes and other precision liquid handling instruments * Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities. * Collaborate with electrical and firmware engineers to develop electromechanical systems. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure product designs meet functional and quality standards. * Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving efforts. * Help maintain documentation including CAD models, drawings, and specifications. * Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturability. * Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to mechanical engineering and laboratory instruments. What You Need to Succeed * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * 1-5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development (internships and co-ops may be considered). * Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.). Autodesk Inventor preferred * Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) * Working knowledge of motors and/or electronic actuators * Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and teamwork abilities. * Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
