Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive service. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors, and provide exceptional customer service, supporting a welcoming and secure environment for everyone. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving is an essential part of your responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Observe for suspicious behavior or situations and report findings according to established procedures.
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records as required by site-specific protocols.
• Work collaboratively with store personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support a positive experience for customers.
• Assist with access control and help to deter theft or loss within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
